The climate in Cyprus is typically Mediterranean and the island enjoys on average 340 days of sunshine a year with long dry summers and short mild winters. Average summer sunshine hours of 11+ each day ensure that there is plenty of daylight available to enjoy the best of the outdoor lifestyle and although the average annual temperature is a comfortable 19°C, summer temperatures can be as high as 40°C.
The flight time to Cyprus from the UK is approximately 4-4½ hours with flights available from most UK airports into Larnaca and Paphos, with low cost carriers planning to fly into the area in the near future. |
